When Devaki gave birth to her eighth child, the atmosphere was tense with fear. Kamsa, consumed by paranoia, rushed to the cell where Devaki and her husband Vasudeva were held captive. As he raised his sword to strike, a divine intervention occurred. The child in Devaki’s arms transformed into the divine form of Lord Vishnu, revealing his universal form. Lord Vishnu instructed Vasudeva to carry the newborn across the tumultuous Yamuna River and exchange him with the baby of Nanda and Yashoda, another couple living in the village of Gokul. That night, guided by the divine, Vasudeva embarked on this journey, carrying the baby through the stormy waters.
Upon reaching Gokul, Vasudeva placed the divine child in the crib of Yashoda and Nanda’s baby girl, whom they named Krishna. From that moment, Krishna’s life intertwined with the lives of the people of Gokul, bringing joy, love, and protection to all.
