Bhola was truly simple-hearted! Every day, he would visit the temple and sing his self-composed hymns (bhajans) to Lord Krishna. After singing, he would ask the priest, “Sir, could you please ask the Lord tonight how He likes my songs?”
The same question every single day eventually annoyed the priest. One day, he decided to put an end to it and told Bhola, “Listen, today the Lord told me—tell Bhola that I haven’t liked even a single one of his songs so far.”
The priest thought that hearing this would discourage Bhola, and he would stop bothering him with his questions. However, to his utter surprise, Bhola began to dance with immense joy!
Bewildered, the priest said, “Hey! The Lord doesn’t even like your songs… why on earth are you dancing so happily?”
Bhola, still dancing, replied, “Sir, if He doesn’t like my songs, it means the Lord has heard every single one of them! That is the only reason He could say that not even one was good. Is that realization not enough for me?”
The Lord only needs to hear us; does “good” or “bad” even matter to Him? The tragedy is that most of us cannot even make our voices reach Him!
